The Story

The carpet industry in Nepal is at a major crossroads: it must adapt if it is to sustainably grow into the next generation. Tsultrim is Khantze’s founding father. In 1981, Tsultrim established Swayambhu Carpet Industries as one of the first carpet manufacturers in Nepal to export rugs to North America and Europe. Tsultrim brings a wealth of knowledge in the intricacies of weaving handmade rugs. His years of experience and passion for carpets have instilled in him the strong understanding of colour. In particular, he has the ability to translate vibrant designs and colors from computer-rendered designs to the actual finished carpet.
